Jurisdiction
Section 40(1): Proceedings for an offence against the Act or regulations are to be dealt with summarily before the Local Court.
Time for commencement
Section 40(2): Any such proceedings may be commenced at any time within 12 months after the date on which the offence was allegedly committed.
